During The Game Awards, Wizards of the Coast announced hack-and-slash action RPG Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance. The game is being developed by Tuque Games and is a spiritual successor to the Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance action RPG series. It is planned for release in the fall of 2020 for PC and consoles.

Dark Alliance will take players to the icy setting of Icewind Dale. The game will feature characters created by author R.A. Salvatore, with local and online co-op for up to four players taking control of Drizzt Do’Urden and his companions Catti-Brie, Bruenor, or Wulfgar.
