Breath of Fire II, Crystalis Arrive on Nintendo Switch Online
Nintendo has made a new batch of classic titles available for Nintendo Switch via its Nintendo Switch Online service. The games include two RPGs: Super NES title Breath of Fire II and NES title Crystalis. The two RPGs are joined by Super NES titles Star Fox 2, Super Punch-Out!!, and Kirby Super Star, as well as NES title Journey to Silius. The games can be played on Nintendo Switch through a pair of free dedicated apps provided players have an active subscription to Nintendo Switch Online.
Breath of Fire II was originally released for Super NES in 1994 in Japan (1995 in North America, 1996 in Europe), with a Game Boy Advance version released in 2002. The game is a turn-based RPG set 500 years after Breath of Fire and follows an orphan called Ryu Bateson who embarks on a journey to clear a friend accused of a crime. Crystalis was originally released for NES in 1990, with a Game Boy Color version released in 2000. The game is a top-down action RPG set in 2097, 100 years after a thermonuclear war reduces humanity to a medieval state while mutated creatures roam the world.
