Anodyne 2 Returns in August

Analgesic Productions has announced that adventure title Anodyne 2: Return to Dust will be released for PC, Mac, and Linux this August. An exact date was not provided for the game, which will be available through Steam, GOG.com, itch.io, the Humble Store, and Kartridge.

Anodyne 2: Return to Dust is a follow-up to 2013 retro RPG Anodyne and features gameplay and graphics inspired by the PSX and 16-bit eras, with players exploring 3D cities and landscapes as well as 2D dungeons. The game stars Nova, the Nano Cleaner, who is tasked with collecting a dangerous substance known as Nano Dust. Players will not need to have played the first Anodyne to follow the events of the second game, though there are some connections betwen the two.
