Judgment Sales to Resume in Japan in July

Sega has announced that Japanese sales of Judgment, known in the country as Judge Eyes, will resume on July 18, 2019, under a “New Price Version”. Sales of the game were initially suspended in March following the arrest of actor Pierre Taki. The character Kyohei Hamura, who was originally portrayed by and modeled on Pierre Taki, has been edited for the western release, and the new Japanese version will use the same model and Japanese voice. Sega has posted new versions of the game’s Japanese trailers, which can be viewed below.

Judgment is a legal thriller developed by Yakuza developer Ryū ga Gotoku Studio and set in Yakuza’s fictional Kamurocho district of Tokyo. The game follows former defense lawyer turned private detective Takayuki Yagami as he becomes involved in a serial killer case. The game will be released in North America and Europe for PlayStation 4 on June 25, 2019.
