Sega Reaffirms Judgment’s Western Release Date

Following the fallout of the arrest in Japan of actor Pierre Taki that led to the suspension of sales of Judgment, aka Judge Eyes, in the nation, Sega has announced that the game’s western release will remain unchanged. The game is still planned for release on PlayStation 4 on June 25, 2019. However, Sega will be changing both the character model and Japanese voice for the character of Kyohei Hamura, who was previously modeled on and played by Pierre Taki.

Judgment is a legal thriller developed by Yakuza developer Ryū ga Gotoku Studio and set in Yakuza’s fictional Kamurocho district of Tokyo. The game follows former defense lawyer turned private detective Takayuki Yagami as he becomes involved in a serial killer case.
