Warhorse Studios Acquired by THQ Nordic

In its latest studio acquisition, THQ Nordic’s subsidiary Koch Media has announced it has purchased Warhorse Studios, the developer behind 2018’s open-world RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Warhorse also took this opportunity to announce that Kingdom Come has shipped over 2 million units since its debut on February 13 last year.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an open-world action RPG where the player takes the role of an unassuming blacksmith’s son in early 1400s Bohemia during the reign of unambitious monarch, King Wenceslas. The game was originally unveiled as a Kickstarter project in 2014 and eventually went on to be published by Deep Silver, another subsidiary of THQ Nordic and Koch Media.
