  1. Great podcast, guys! 😀 Congrats on 100 episodes!

Anyway, there are some interesting examples of games that started out as being part of a a well-known franchise before becoming a new title. For an RPG example Bravely Default began as a sequel to Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of light. The Mana series is an odd one because Seiken Densetsu started as a game for the Famicom Disk system and predated Final Fantasty. Square cancelled the game when it was still in the planning stages, then brought it back as a gaiden game to Final Fantasy. It later became it’s own independent series in later installments.

Can you think of any other examples of this, RPG or otherwise?

Red dead and god of war were both big game of the year, but what was the last game you felt just took over the whole scene of gaming and just felt like an unstoppable wave? Is fortnite currently this game? Pokémon go? What are some “moment” game you can think of.

Have you ever purchased a early access game? How do you feel about this concept?

What would some potential Pokémon game names? Not the monsters, the titles themselves, since they always have a dual nature.
