More Konosuba RPG Details Emerge

Konosuba is an anime that makes fun of common RPG tropes, yet the series is getting a RPG spin-off title of its own named KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World! The Labyrinth of Hope and Gathering of Adventurers!. The game is slated for a Japan release on the PlayStation 4 and Vita on March 28, 2019. In addition to the standard edition there will be a limited edition, which comes with an art book and additional DLC. Gamers who purchase the game upon its initial release will also receive a bonus game: KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World! Educating this Useless Goddess!

The Konosuba RPG will be set in the world from the anime with players will be taking on the role of Kazuma, the series’ protagonist. Aqua, another character from the anime, has uncovered a magic stone and the team needs to discover what sort of power this relic holds. Kazuma will encounter many familiar faces seen in the show as he progresses through the dungeon crawling RPG. Players will be able to form a five-player party as they travel through the dungeons and use these character’s skills to fight the hordes of enemies that will stand in their way. There will be character specific quests as well, which can add different customizable options for exploration. Fans of the show can also expect to see familiar costumes available for Kazuma and his crew as the game unfolds.

KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World! The Labyrinth of Hope and Gathering of Adventurers! is being published by the Japanese studio Entergram. There has been no news of a western release at this time.

I love this type of game. I think I liked every parody game I’ve played thus far: All the Zeboyd games and Half Minute Hero.
