Digital Store Weekly Round-Up (September 6, 2018)

Welcome to RPGamer’s weekly digital round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with updates on recent releases and sales for RPGs across the digital marketplace.

 

New Releases

Dragon Quest XI is clearly the bggest RPG release of the week, but it is joined by a few new titles in Immortal: Unchained, Moonfall Ultimate, and Yo-kai Watch Blasters. Meanwhile, Shadows: Awakening hits consoles, God Wars hits Switch, and Squids Odyssey hits PC.

 

Sales and Discounts

The North American PlayStation Store features a special Bandai Namco publisher sale, which includes numerous RPGs such as Accel World vs. Sword Art Online, Chroma Squad, Dark Souls II, Dark Souls III, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker’s Memory, Digimon World: Next Order, God Eater: Resurrection, God Eater 2: Rage Burst, .hack//G.U., Little Witch Academia, Ni no Kuni II, Necropolis, Sword Art Online, Tales of Berseria, Tales of Symphonia, and Tales of Zestiria. Resonance of Fate and Assassin’s Creed Origins are also on sale.

Europe begins a new set of deals offering up to 60% off various PS4 games including Cyberdimension Neptunia, Destiny, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Megademension Neptunia VIIR, NieR: Automata, Persona 5, Secret of Mana, Shining Resonance Refrain, Skyrim, and XCOM 2. The region also receives new batches of PS4 deals for Games Under €15/£13 and Games Under €5/£4 sales including Titan Quest, Battle Chaster: Nightwar, Fairy Fencer F, Omega Quintet, The Dwarves, Dark Rose Valkyrie, The Bard’s Tale: Remastered and Resnarkled, and Trulon: The Shadow Engine. Finally, there are some new PS3 and Vita sales that include Darksiders II, Dark Souls II, Lord of the Rings: War in the North, Ni no Kuni, Persona 5, Risen 3, Sacred 3, Tales of Graces f, Tales of Symphonia Chronicles, Tales of Xillia, and Tales of Zestiria.

The Xbox Store has new deals for Chroma Squad, the Dark Souls trilogy, Earthlock, Necropolis, SwapQuest, Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age II, Dungeon Siege III, Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara, Faery: Legends of Avalon, Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3, and XCOM: Enemy Within.

The Nintendo eShop in America has deals for Citizens of Earth, NeuroVoider, Quest of Dungeons, and The Alliance Alive. European sales are TBC.

Steam‘s current sales include many of the titles in the Neptunia series, the Witcher trilogy, Grim Dawn, Dragon Age: Origins, The Metronomicon, Halcyon 6, and Arelite Core. GOG.com features deals on Divinity: Original Sin II, Pillars of Eternity, Tyranny, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, Darkest Dungeon, Shadowrun, and others. Meanwhile, The Humble Store features the biggest selection of deals, with a new summer sale that is far to numerous to attempt listing.
