Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones Receives Gamescom Trailer

1C Company has released a new trailer for Cultic Games’ upcoming Lovecraftian horror RPG Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones ahead of the game’s appearance at Gamescom later this month. The two-minute video highlights various aspects of the game, including character creation, conversation systems, and its real-time hexagonal-grid combat system.

Initially funded through Kickstarter before 1C Company signed on as publisher in July, Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones lets players create a character based on one of eight archetypes. The game features various systems simulating and providing dialogue options based on the character’s mental state and offers various recruitable characters. Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones is currently planned for a release sometime in 2019, for PC, Mac, and Linux, with an early demo available to download on Steam.
