Dauntless’ The Coming Storm Expansion Launches

Phoenix Labs has initiated the launch of the first expansion to its free-to-play action RPG Dauntless, which is currently in open beta. The Coming Storm is also available to download for free and adds a new Behemoth, Koshai, for players to take on, as well as a new faction the Ostians, who provide a new story and new quests as well as the first ranged weapon type in the game, Ostian Repeaters. The various bits of the content from The Coming Storm will be released on a weekly basis.

Dauntless sees players controlling Slayers, warriors sent out to fight against beasts known as Behemoths. After defeating a Behemoth, players bring back loot and ingredients to the city of Ramsgate to use in crafting new weapons and armour, letting them take on stronger Behemoths. The game features both a main campaign and additional content the developer dubs the “Evergame”. The game is currently available to download from its official website.
