Sega Shows Plenty of Yakuza Kiwami 2

During E3, Sega held three livestreams focusing on its upcoming release of Yakuza Kiwami 2. The first video features the publisher’s regular streaming duo of Scott and Sam, who focus on the game’s Clan Creator feature, where Majima and Kiryu assemble a gang to take on a group that is hindering Majima’s construction company in strategic battles. The second video sees Chris Petlak join Sega’s Sarah W. and Hollie B. to showcase and discuss a large assortment of other aspects including combat, sub-stories, exploration around Kamurocho, and mini-games. In the final stream, Chris returned for an interview with Senior Localization Producer Sam Mullen (of the aforementioned Scott and Sam) and head of RyĆ« ga Gotoku Studio Daisuke Sato, with Amelia Ishii translating.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a remake of Yakuza 2 and is set to be released for PlayStation 4 on August 28, 2018. In addition to the original story, an extra scenario starring Majima Goro is included that continues story threads introduced in Yakuza Zero.
