Gust Provides More Nelke and the Legendary Alchemists Info

Following up on its announcement of new Atelier spin-off Nelke and the Legendary Alchemists: Atelier of a New Land, Gust provided some more details about the game’s setting and some of the familiar faces that will show up in the game. As previously mentioned, the upcoming title is a town-building RPG starring a young noblewoman name Nelke von Luchetam.

Nelke graduated at the top of her class in the Imperial Academy, but does not have any alchemic power and is looking to find other ways to help people. She takes over from her father as the lord of the village of Vestbalt and seeks to grow it. Vestbalt itself is a remote village in the countryside, but it said to have an untouch relic known as the Granzvite Tree within it.

As Nelke cannot synthesise anything herself, she recruits legendary alchemists to assist her as she develops the village by placing down buildings such as shops. Various past characters from the Atelier series and its spin-offs are included. Confirmed to be appearing so far are Marlone (Marie) from Atelier Marie, Merurulince Rede Arls (Meruru) from Atelier Meruru, Ayesha Altugle from Atelier Ayesha, Sophie Neuenmuller from Atelier Sophie, Vio Platane from Atelier Viorate/Violet, Klein Kiesling from Atelier Iris, and Vayne Aurelius from Mana Khemia.

Nelke and the Legendary Alchemists is being developed for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo Switch. The game is set to be released later this year in Japan, with there being no news at this stage regarding a potential western release.
