Utawarerumono Zan Receives First Images

Shortly after releasing its first trailer, Aquaplus has released the first images for its upcoming action RPG spin-off Utawarerumono Zan. The images include a selection of gameplay screenshots and artwork for characters appearing in the game from Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception — Haku, Kuon, Nekone, Ougi, Nosuri, and Ukon.

Unlike previous games in the series, which were combinations of visual novel and strategy RPG, Utawarerumono Zan is an action RPG being developed by Aquaplus and Tamsoft. The character list suggests that the game takes place in the same time-frame as Utewarerumono: Mask of Deception, though exact details on the connection between the games are not yet known. Utawarerumono Zan is set to be released for PlayStation 4 in Japan on September 27, 2018, with no announcement made regarding a possible localisation at this time.
