Digital Store Weekly Round-Up (March 8, 2018)
Welcome to RPGamer’s weekly digital round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with updates on recent releases and sales for RPGs across the digital marketplace.

The biggest release this week is the Windows Edition of Final Fantasy XV, which is joined by the Royal Edition that features all the additional content in the Windows Edition and is available as either an upgrade or a full version. This week also sees the re-release of Earthlock: Festival of Magic with a new “Shouldhavebeen Edition” simply titled Earthlock, which sees the game come to Switch for the first time (the rerelease is also coming to Xbox One and PS4 but has been delayed by a few weeks), as well as the western release of Damascus Gear: Operation Osaka and the arrival of Nine Parchments on Xbox One. PS Plus subscribers also receive Bloodborne as one of the free games of the month.
Sales and Discounts
New deals on the North American PlayStation store cover a wide variety of titles including NieR: Automata, as well as a large selection of Square Enix’s RPG releases from across the series (including Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, nearly every title in the Final Fantasy series, I Am Setsuna, Parasite Eve, Tactics Ogre, etc.). A fresh round of sales also hits the PlayStation Store in Europe, with the “Only on PlayStation” deals offering discounts on PS4, PS3, and Vita games including Dark Cloud, Horizon Zero Dawn, Nioh, and Freedom Wars. There are also some new “Digital Zone” deals including Trulon: The Shadow Engine and Brut@l.
The Xbox Store also features a Square Enix sale, which includes Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Final Fantasy Type-0, Final Fantasy XIII-2, and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. There are also various other RPGs on sale, including Dark Souls III, Divinity: Original Sin, Mars: War Logs, The Metronomicon, and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance.
Nintendo of America’s sales this week feature budget titles Adventure Bar Story, Mercenaries Saga 2, and Symphony of Eternity. Nintendo of Europe also just has a couple of budget 3DS titles on sale in Adventure Bar Story and Mercenaries Saga 2.
The current Steam sales include NieR: Automata, The Surge, The Age of Decadence, and Knights of Pen and Paper. Finally, The Humble Store has a decent offering of sales including discounts on Dex, Elex, Nine Parchments, Battle Chasers: Nightwar, and The Dwarves, as well as offers on games and bundles for the Darksiders, ArcaniA, and Gothic series.
