Digital Store Weekly Round-Up (May 17, 2018)

Welcome to RPGamer’s weekly digital round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with updates on recent releases and sales for RPGs across the digital marketplace.

A very busy week sees the new releases section enter double figures. In addition to fresh faces in Little Witch Academia, Omensight, Fairune Collection, Towards the Pantheon, and Wizard of Legend, there are enhanced versions of Dragon’s Crown, SMT: Strange Journey, and Hyrule Warriors. The Switch also receives ports of Battle Chasers: Nightwar, The Banner Saga, and Yonder.

 

Sales and Discounts

The North American PlayStation Store sales this week include Darksiders, ELEX, The Dwarves, Battle Chasers: Nighwar, Risen 3, and Undertale. Europe’s Games Under £16/€20 sale continues for another week, including deals on Child of Light, Fallout 4, Darksiders, and The Technomancer.

The Xbox Store‘s sales this week include Dragon Age: Inquisition and Mass Effect: Andromeda on Xbox One, with deals on Borderlands, Borderlands 2, and The Witcher 2 available for 360 (all three being backwards-compatible with Xbox One).

The Nintendo eShop in America has deals for Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, Amibition of the Slimes, Battle Chef Brigade, and Heroes of the Monkey Tavern. Europegets deals on Excave II, Excave III, Harvest Moon: Skytree Village, and Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns.

The current Steam sales include discounts on Battle Chasers: Nightwar, All Walls Must Fall, and Earthlock. GOG.com has discounts for Legend of Eisenwald and Tales of Maj’Eyal. However, The Humble Store has the biggest sale of all, however, with over five-hundred RPG entries listed. Highlights include The Surge, Lords of the Fallen, Tales (Symphonia, Zestiria, Berseria), Millennium, Neptunia, The Witcher, The Legend of Heroes, Tokyo Xanadu eX+, Ys, and many, many more.

    Very busy release week. I got Battle Chasers: Nightwar on Switch (is it just me that thinks it’s weird that it’s half-off on other platforms the week it comes out on Switch?) Little Witch Academia for review, and i’ll probably double-dip on Banner Saga on Switch as well (maybe I’ll play it this time…maybe). Phew.
