Doraemon Story of Seasons: Friends of the Great Kingdom Releasing This Year

Bandai Namco announced a follow-up to the crossover between its Doraemon franchise and Marvelous’ Bokujō Monogatari/Story of Seasons series. Unveiled during this week’s Nintendo Direct Mini presentation, Doraemon Story of Seasons: Friends of the Great Kingdom is planned for release worldwide later this year on PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.

While the first title was developed in collaboration with Brownies Inc., Friends of the Great Kingdom is being developed fully by Marvelous. The game is a sequel to the previous game, but contains a wholly new story and setting as Noby and his friends travel to a brand new planet. There, they make a new friend who they decide to help achieve the dreams of by building up a ranch.

As with the previous game, players can use Doraemon’s special gadgets to help them farm. New gadgets include a spray that lets them grow crops on clouds, and a ray that lets them explore underwater. The game will also include local two-player co-op. Bandai Namco’s Southeast Asian branch released the game’s trailer, as well as an English-subtitled message from producer Koji Nakajima.
