Turn-Based RPG Tianji: Shadow of the Ancients Announced

Justdan International has announced turn-based RPG Tianji: Shadow of the Ancients. The game, set during the Tang dynasty in 8th-century CE China, is planned to release internationally in 2027 for PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. It is available to wishlist on Steam and will support English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese language options.

Tianji: Shadow of the Ancients follows Shangguan Shuo, an amnesiac member of the Tianji Guard who is rescued from a suspicious organization known as the Xuanxin Order by fellow guard member Li Ling. He sets out to recover his memories and investigate the secrets of the Xuanxin Order. The game’s combat is said to focus on combo chains, with each companion having their own skills that grow as players progress their personal stories. It will also include a day-night cycle, with different events, obtainable items, and NPC interactions changing based on the time of day.
