The Grimm Reapress and the Drearytale Monster Coming West
NIS America announced it is releasing The Grimm Reapress and the Drearytale Monster in North America and Europe. The game, developed by Nippon Ichi Software and released in Japan as Shinigami Hime to Ishokan no Kaibutsu this April, will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. A release window has not yet been announced.
The Grimm Reapress and the Drearytale Monster is a picture book-style adventure and acts as a spiritual follow-up to The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince and The Cruel King and the Great Hero. The game follows Mono, a young girl whose sister contracts a magical disease called Paper Mortis that turns people into picture books and monsters. Going to any lengths to cure her sister, Mono teams up with vengeance-seeking monster Mär and ventures into the Libratarium where her sister is kept. There, she and Mär enter picture books to learn about who the girls once were, solving puzzles and fighting bosses in the process.
