Tactical Roguelike Deckbuilder AlcheMice Gets New Trailer
Red Mountain Games released a new trailer for its upcoming tactical roguelike deckbuilder AlcheMice. The minute-long video shows some of the gameplay systems and environments, as well as 2D-animated sequences created by Alkimia Animation Studio.
AlcheMice is inspired by 15th-century Granada and follows Tycoh, a young alchemist who has been cursed into a time loop. Seeking help from the witch Gusparda to save the city from a deadly illness, he uses a tarot deck as a weapon while looking to obtain the Philosopher’s Stone. Tycoh will need to venture the streets and fight enemies ranging from rat guards and tetrapod armors to floating skulls and batpirs. The curse causes the time loop to restart at dawn on the fourth day, with players only retaining their deck and whatever recipes, ingredients, and items they have stashed inside a vault.
The game features two types of cards — action cards and motion cards — which players use to act on their turn as they go through multi-level grid-based dungeons. Players can also brew various alchemical potions, with vials used to add permanent effects to cards. AlcheMice is in development for PC and available to wishlist on Steam.
