Swordcery Releasing on Steam Early Access in August
Developer Temple Door Games announced that its action roguelite Swordcery will release on Steam Early Access on August 11, 2026. Details about the content of the initial Early Access release and planned full release window will be revealed at a later date. In addition, the game’s demo, currently available on Steam, is expected to receive an update ahead of the Early Access launch.
Swordcery is set in the world of Armorial, which has suddenly been plunged into chaos after a giant sword plunges into it, bringing with it a hail of smaller swords while seemingly draining the planet. Players control Colt, an unwitting hero who gains the ability to wield the swords that have rained down and sets out to defeat the celestial evil behind it. Each sword Colt picks up has its own Sword Class and unique ability, with different swords being useful for certain combat situations or environment as Colt progresses through procedurally-generated dungeons.
