System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster Released on Switch 2

Nightdive Studios has released a dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 version of System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster. The Nintendo Switch 2 version is available digitally for $29.99 with a 40% launch discount. The remaster had previously released for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch in 2025. Those who already own the game on Nintendo Switch can obtain an upgrade pack for free.

System Shock 2 takes place in 2114, 42 years after the events of the first game. The game puts players on the faster-than-light starship, the Von Braun, on its maiden voyage and its accompanying ship, the Rickenbacker. During the voyage, the ships respond to a distress signal from an alien planet, which results in them being taken over by a force dubbed the Many. The 25th Anniversary Remaster version includes completely remastered visuals, including cutscenes and weapon and character models.
