Shards of Order Releasing Next Month
Publisher Awaken Realms and developer Fardust announced that card-based RPG Shards of Order will release for PC via Steam on July 28, 2026. The game is a dark fantasy RPG that utilises time mechanics and is billed as being a “full RPG” without roguelike/roguelite elements.
Shards of Order is set in a dying world, with players looking to recover the lost Laws that governed it. However, each Law that players restore draws the attention of the all-seeing God. They may offer players assistance as they travel across three regions and seek to defeat various bosses along the way, but are also known for mischief.
The game sees players controlling a party of three heroes with their own skill trees, playstyles, and personal arcs. The party has one shared deck, allowing players to choose whether to focus around a single hero, or spread strength across the party. During combat, enemies act based on a visible countdown, with the player’s cards moving the countdown up or down, requiring them to manage time while looking to defeat their foes.
