Culdcept The First Demo Released

Clear River Games and City Connection have released a demo for Culdcept The First, the upcoming enhanced port of the first game in the Culdcept card-based strategy series. The demo is available now for PC via Steam and lets players access one stage of its Story Mode and one map in its Battle Mode. Cards obtained in the demo can be carried over to the full Steam release. The game will also be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

Culdcept The First initially released for Sega Saturn in Japan in 1997 before later coming to PlayStation, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo 3DS, also only in Japan. The enhanced port was announced alongside Culdcept Begins, the first new entry in the series since 2016, which acts as a prequel to the first game. It will include new quality of life features such as rewind points, quick save/load options, and the ability to always display player and opponent hands on screen. The game will release for console in Japan and PC internationally on July 30, 2026, with the western console versions following on September 8, 2026.
