Action Roguelite 7 Trials Announced

The Devil Within: SATGAT developer Newcore Games announced its newest title, 7 Trials. The game is a hack-and-slash action roguelite based on Korean afterlife folklore and includes co-op for up to four players. It is available to wishlist now on Steam ahead of a planned Early Access release later this year and full release for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027.

7 Trials features an urban-occult aesthetic and sees prestigious exam preparatory school Seocheon Academy transformed into a Fixed Realm, suspended between the living world and the afterlife. It follows Yeoubi, a temporary Reaper contracted by corporate underworld agency Yeomra Solutions Inc. He is required to survive seven trials over the next forty-nine days while uncovering the secrets hidden in the academy and the souls trapped within. Combat is fast-paced and built around active combat skills that can be adjusted with modifiers while players stack up various passive effects within each run.
