Racing RPG Kaido Genkai Public Demo Coming in June

Developer Karoshi Electric Company announced that it will be releasing the first public demo for “anime racing RPG” Kaido Genkai on June 2, 2026. The demo will be available for PC via Steam, with early access to the demo available now for supporters of the developer’s Patreon page. The demo gives an early look at the game’s world, tone, and gameplay systems, featuring two cars, a portion of the map, and over fifteen events covering around two hours of content.

Kaido Genkai is set in a 1990s-style fictional Japanese countryside and sees players explore an open world while they learn more about their character’s past, challenge rivals, and unlock various cars with different tuning variations. It features arcade-style driving drawing inspiration from PlayStation 2-era Japanese racing games and includes a photo mode, dynamic day-night cycle, RPG progression systems, multiple race types, and secret areas.
