Nioh 3 Update Releasing Next Week

Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja announced that a free update will release for action RPG Nioh 3 on April 27, 2026. The update will add multiple high-difficulty Battle Scroll side missions. It includes the Stone of Penance, which increases accessory bonus and rarities for higher difficulties, as well as new skills awarded for completing the new Battle Scroll missions.

Nioh 3 is currently available on PC and PlayStation 5. The game follows protagonist Tokugawa Takechiyo after he is stripped of his position as the next shogun in the Sengoku era, with his younger brother Tokugawa Kunimatsu leading a horde of yokai against him, resulting in a calamity known as the Crucible. His guardian spirit Kusanagi gives Tokugawa Takechiyo the opportunity to transcend time and save Japan by visiting multiple eras. The game will also include online multiplayer, with players able to assist and seek help from others using its “Summon Visitor” mode, as well as the returning Expeditions from the previous games.
