Shadow of the Road Introduces Companion Ishida

Developer Another Angle Games and publisher Owlcat Games released a new trailer for Shadow of the Road. The new video introduces party member Ishida. Acting as the party’s main tank, he is able to attract enemy attention and deal damage while wielding his nōdachi. He is known to be quick at starting fights, especially when he has been drinking, but is also a loyal friend.

Shadow of the Road is set to be released for PC later this year, with a demo currently available on Steam. The game is an isometric strategy RPG set in a version of Japan with steampunk technology. Players take on the role of a master strategist behind a team of fighters, each member with their own motivations. While the forces of the Emperor and the Shogunate are fighting for control, a British trade conglomerate has its own agenda. Player decisions can put characters on different paths as well as impact their relationships.
