Blades of Fire Coming to Steam in May

505 Games and MercurySteam announced that Blades of Fire is coming to Steam on May 14, 2026. The action RPG previously released for PC via the Epic Games Store, as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, in May 2025. A demo is now available on Steam, with save progress able to be transferred to the full game. The Steam release date will also see the game receiving a version 2.0 update on all platforms. The update will include a New Game Plus mode, a new Titanium challenge level, a photo mode, and a boss replay mode.

Blades of Fire is set in a fantasy world and puts players in the role of Aran de Lira, firstborn of the King’s Ward. However, the newly crowned Queen Nerea casts a spell turning steel into stone, leaving those who face her army of abominations with shattered blades. Aran is able to craft new weapons by finding Forge Scrolls, with seven different weapon families available. Aran is joined on his journey by companion Adso, who offers tips on defeating enemies from his chronicles, with the game’s combat system letting players target specific body parts.
