Blades of Fire Demo Released

Ahead of the game’s release on May 22, 2025, 505 Games and MercurySteam have released a demo for Blades of Fire. The demo for the action RPG is available for PC (via the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Save progress from the demo can be transferred over to the full version of the game.

Blades of Fire is set in a fantasy world and puts players in the role of Aran de Lira, firstborn of the King’s Ward. However, the newly crowned Queen Nerea casts a spell turning steel into stone, leaving those who face her army of abominations with shattered blades. Aran is able to craft new weapons by finding Forge Scrolls, with seven different weapon families available. The game’s combat system lets players target specific body types, with armour affecting which weapons are more effective. Aran is joined on his journey by companion Adso, who offers tips on defeating enemies from his chronicles.
