Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Releasing on Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S in January

Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will release for Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S on January 22, 2026. Pre-orders for both versions are available now, with a new trailer viewable below. In addition, the company announced that the other two games in the planned remake trilogy — Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and the yet-to-be-revealed third game — are planned to be released on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S at some point in time, in addition to PlayStation 5 and PC.

Final Fantasy VII Remake originally released for PlayStation 4 in 2020. Following mercenary Cloud Strife as he works with resistance group Avalanche, it follows events up to the “Escape from Midgar” section of the original Final Fantasy VII, with some additional and reworked story elements as well as new mini-games and other content. Intergrade is an upgraded version released for PlayStation 5 and PC in 2021. It includes Final Fantasy VII Remake Episode Intermission, an additional story chapter featuring Yuffie Kisaragi.
