Tales of Xillia Remastered Releasing End of October

Bandai Namco announced that Tales of Xillia Remastered will release worldwide on October 31, 2025. The remastered version of Tales of Xillia — which released for PlayStation 3 in Japan in 2011 and in North America in 2013 — will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The remaster will include quality-of-life adjustments as well as DLC from the original release.

Tales of Xillia was released as the series’ 15th anniversary title and is set in the world of Rieze Maxia, where spirits and humans coexist. The game sees medical student Jude encounter a woman named Milla, who claims to be Maxwell, the Lord of Spirits. After the two witness a secret weapon that threatens the balance of the world, they are put on a wanted list and team up on a quest to destroy the device. Players are able to select which of Jude and Milla acts as the main viewpoint character, which impacts some sequences in the game.

Tales of Xillia received a sequel, Tales of Xillia 2, which released in Japan in 2012 and in North America and Europe in 2014. Those looking to read more about Tales of Xillia can read RPGamer’s review of its PlayStation 3 release as well as RPGamer’s Where to Start? guide for the series.
