NIS America Bringing Starbites West in 2026

NIS America announced that it will be publishing IKINAGAMES’s turn-based mecha RPG Starbites in the west. The game — which releases in Japan this October — will launch for PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 in early 2026. A physical Limited Edition is available to pre-order from NIS America’s online store for $89.99 that contains:

• Standard physical edition of Starbites for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, or Nintendo Switch 2 (key-card on Nintendo Switch 2)
• Collector’s box
• Art book
• Mini soundtrack CD
• Three rubber keychains
• Six metal pins

Starbites is set on the war-torn planet of Bitter and follows rookie scavenger Lukida, whose life changes after encountering a being called the Oracle. She is based in Delight City, a tower-shaped city that is free-spirited despite being slowly swallowed by the sand. Players advance the story and unlock new parts of the city by interacting with NPCs and finding special objects. The game will feature turn-based combat, with players forming a party of Lukina’s allies. Combat makes use of a Drivers High mechanic, where a gauge increased by attacking or taking damage allows players to interrupt the usual turn-order.
