Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection Announced
Capcom has annoucned a new title in its Monster Hunter Stories spin-off series to Monster Hunter. Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is planned to release in 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Like previous entries, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection puts players in the role of a Monster Rider, someone who partners up with and raises monsters. The game’s setting features two major nations, Azuria and Vermeil, which are facing a crystal encroachment that is destroying the environment. The discovery of an egg that hatches a Rathalos, a monster thought extinct, offers the nations hope. However, a second monster also emerges, with both having a mark that indicates they are the twin Skyscale Rathalos, supposedly portents of destruction from a civil war 200 years in the past.
Players are given the role of the heir to Azuria. They have special abilities that allow them to become the leader of the rangers and the only Rathalos Rider in the nation. They set out to investigate the phenoma impacting the world, leading them to a forbidden land. They are joined by Eleanor, the princess of Vermeil, who offers to act as a hostage, joining the player character alongside her partner Anjanath.
