Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree Prologue Video Released

Bandai Namco released a prologue video for Brownies Inc.’s isometric action roguelite Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree. The five-minute video gives an introduction to the game’s story as protagonist Towa and her eight companions fight to save Shinju Village from the evil Magatsu and his forces.

Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree sees players select two Guardians to venture on each quest; one wields the power of the sacred sword Tsurugi while the other uses the magical staff Kagura. Each Guardian has their own skillsets that can be upgraded both during missions and in the village hub, where they can also upgrade their weapons. Quests take guardians across different timelines, with players able to see the village evolving over the years. Players can develop bonds with the village’s residents and learn more about its customs and stories. The game is set to be released for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on September 18, 2025.
