Frosthaven Reveals Banner Spear Character
Arc Games and Snapshot Games released the first in a series of character reveal trailers for Frosthaven, its dark fantasy tactical RPG adaptation of the board game of the same name. The first video introduces the Banner Spear, a tireless fighter seeking glory on the battlefield who specialises in precise strikes. They are the first of six playable base characters in the game alongside Boneshaper, Drifter, Geminate, Blinkblade, and Deathwalker.
Frosthaven is a spiritual successor to Gloomhaven, which received its own adaptation. The game sees players using action and movement cards that work together with cards held by their teammates. It will include an in-depth tutorial as well as varying difficulty levels. Players will also build up their outpost, building and upgrading buildings that unlock new features and mechanics. The game is planned to release on Steam Early Access later this year. It is expected to spend around a year in Early Access, with the initial release planned to contain around a third of the total number of quests.
