The First Berserker: Khazan Update Adding New Challenges This Week

Nexon and Neople announced a new update for The First Berserker: Khazan will release on May 15, 2025. The update will add two new Boss Rush (Ultimate Challenge) modes to the game, available after clearing its main story. The Great General’s Crucible sees players fight against thematic groups of bosses using preset character builds, while Berserker’s Bloodshed sees players earn upgrades as they overcome each boss.

In a post detailing the update, Creative Director Junho Lee revealed plans for future updates. The following update will release in late May/early June and add new quality-of-life features: items that allow fast travel to the Crevice or the last Blade Nexus visited, teleportation between Blade Nexuses, and easier ability to retry missions for farming purposes. Another update is planned for mid-June, which will include balance adjustments, new skill and gear preset options, and other quality-of-life improvements.

The First Berserker: Khazan released for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in March 2025. The game is set in the developer’s Dungeon & Fighter (DNF) universe and follows Khazan on his quest for vengeance. After rising to become the Great General of Pell Los and a hero to the empire, he is falsely accused of treason and exiled to the mountains. During his quest, he meets the mysterious Blade Phantom, which grants him new powers. Those looking to read more about the game can check out Jordan McClain’s review of its PlayStation 5 release.
