Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army Gets New Screenshots, Info

Atlus has released new details and screenshots for the upcoming Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army. The new information covers some of the people and locations in its alternate version of 1931 Japan, as well as some additional details on the game’s contents and Nintendo Switch 2 version.

Some of the other characters protagonist Raidou Kuzunoha XIV meets in his investigations include Dr. Tsukumo, the owner of the Ryugu restaurant, and Denpachi Iida. Dr. Tsukumo is a self-proclaimed scientist who dreams of launching his self-made rocket. He conducts research in a shack and has gained the affection of local residents with his dedication and personality. The owner of Ryugu has risen it up to being considered a top-class restaurant visited by many important figures under her management. She is also involved in her family’s trading business. Finally, Denpachi is a rickshaw runner employed by Ryugu. He works to support his only living relative, his younger sister, and is frustrated by the rise of automobiles taking away his clients.

During the game, players will visit many locations and districts throughout the capital of Edo. Tsukudo-cho is the home of the Narumi Detective Agency, acting as the central hub for Raidou and his allies, and has various shops lining the streets with visitors of all ages. Fukagawa-cho is a district that retains a strong traditional downtown feel despite the larger westernisation of the capital, with rows of houses and various entertainment venues such as public baths. Ginza-cho is a bustling downtown area showing recent developments with lots of high-rise buildings as well as street cars and automobiles. Finally, Harumi-cho has a foreign feel with brick buildings and churches, acting as a port town and bringing in trade from other countries with plenty of sailors and foreign visitors.

These locations are home to numerous facilities. The Narumi Detective Agency is where players can save, recover, and remind themselves of their current investigation and tasks. It is also where players can participate in a mahjong mini-game against Narumi and their demon allies. Konnou-ya is an antique shop where players can purchase many different items including battle items and upgrade materials. Shin-Sekai Soda Joint is a popular hang-out for Devil Summoners where players can order drinks that boost Raidou’s skills. The Nameless Shrine is where players can meet with a member of the Yatagarasu organisation, who allows Raidou to enter a realm inhabited by demons. It also hosts the Training Hall, where players can train by fighting against demons managed by Yatagarasu, including a special trial against a hundred demons in quick succession.

Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army includes a selection of Case Files. These are requests from residents and even demons that players can take on for various rewards. After completing the game once, players will be able to unlock the game’s highest difficulty level, Detective Legend. The game also includes a special Raidou-admiring Jack Frost, named Raiho, who can be unlocked for fusion by completing certain events (with a sweepstakes contest for a Raiho plushie running in North America). Finally, there will be free post-release DLC in the “Demonic Designations: Summoner Titles”. This DLC will release on July 3, 2025, and add ten new fan-submitted titles for Raidou, selected from entries to a social media contest.

The Nintendo Switch version of the game will be playable on Nintendo Switch 2, but the Nintendo Switch 2 version will not be playable on Nintendo Switch. In addition, save data cannot be transferred between the two versions, nor are there plans to release an upgrade option from the Switch to the Switch 2. The physical edition of the Nintendo Switch 2 version will also be a key card, requiring players to download the main game data separately.

Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is a remaster of PlayStation 2 title Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army and will launch worldwide for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 on June 19, 2025. The third title in the Devil Summoner spin-off series, the game follows apprentice detective Raidou Kuzunoha XIV. He moonlights as a Devil Summoner assigned to protect Tokyo. Raidou works at the Narumi Detective Agency, where a high school girl named Kaya requests for the agency to kill her, before she is suddenly kidnapped. Raidou’s investigations take him around the city and into the mysterious Dark Realm where demons reside.
