Kingdom Come: Deliverance II’s Brushes with Death Expansion Out Now

Warhorse Studios and Deep Silver have released the first of three planned narrative expansions for medieval action RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. The Brushes with Death expansion is available for $5.99, or included as part of the game’s Gold Edition and Expansion Pass. It features a new storyline where protagonist Henry helps an artist uncover his past and complete his painting. The questline takes players across both of the game’s maps, with the expansion also including a new shield painting feature.

The expansion release comes alongside a new version 1.3 update for the game. The update adds free Horse Racing DLC, which features two new in-game challenges focusing on horse racing and mounted archery, as well as additional quality-of-life improvements.

A sequel to 2018’s Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II picks up directly after the events of the first game, continuing the story of blacksmith’s son Henry in early 15th-century Bohemia. It includes two new open-world maps, double the size of the previous game, taking players to historic locations such as Trosky Castle and the mining town of Kuttenberg. The game is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
