Guild Wars 2: Janthir Wilds Final Chapter Arriving Next Week

ArenaNet announced that its final chapter update for Guild Wars 2‘s Janthir Wilds expansion will release on June 3, 2025. The update, dubbed “Absolution”, brings the expansion’s conflict with the titans of Janthir to a close with a variety of additions to multiple game modes.

The update’s story content takes players to a new explorable map: Bava Nisos, a city crumbling after bearing witness to 300 years of magic. The zone includes a full map-wide meta event, and leads to the new titan Ura boss, which is available in the Convergence game mode for groups of up to 50 players. The update also adds a new Fractal called Kinfall, where players experience the events of the lowland Kodan’s cultural past. Other additions include an update for homsteads, with the decoration limit doubled to 2,000 objects, and increased Household mastery, as well as a new glider, new weapons, new relics, and more.

Guild Wars 2 is set 250 years after the events of the original Guild Wars. It was originally released in 2012, becoming available on Steam in 2022, and currently has five expansions: Heart of Thorns, Path of Fire, End of Dragons, Secrets of the Obscure, and Janthir Wilds. The game and expansions are available as buy-to-play titles.
