Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree Shows Vanguard, Spellbinder Classes

Publisher Knights Peak and developer Primal Game Studio released a new dark fantasy side-scrolling RPG Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree. The nearly-three-minute video focuses on the play styles of two of the game’s classes: Vanguard and Spellbinder.

The Vanguard is a melee-focused class with three loadout options: one-handed weapon and light shield, which balances offense and defense; one-handed weapon and heavy shield, which has strong defense at the cost of mobility; and two-handed weapon, which sacrifices defense for offense. The Spellbinder is a ranged magic-focused class with two styles: Mage Assassin deals mid-ranged burst damage, while Full Caster uses long-range attacks with unpredictable effects.

Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree is set in the world of Faelduum, which is in decline as the boundary between it and another realm called Entropy fades, unleashing monsters into the world. Players attempt to take their world back from the monsters, using the legendary Witch Lantern to explore Entropic Corridors, parts of the world already claimed by Entropy. The game will release for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on April 17, 2025.
