Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree Details Its Skill Trees

Publisher Knights Peak and developer Primal Game Studio released a new trailer for dark fantasy action RPG Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree. The two-and-a-half-minute video details Talent Trees, which allow players to learn new skills by spending talent points acquired through leveling up or offering shrines. Each class has its own Talent Trees, with players able to inherit skills from different classes and reset talent points spent.

Previously known simply as Mandragora, Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree is set in the world of Faelduum, which is in decline as the boundary between it and another realm called Entropy fades, unleashing monsters into the world. Players attempt to take their world back from the monsters, using the legendary Witch Lantern to explore Entropic Corridors, parts of the world already claimed by Entropy. The game blends Soulslike and Metroidvania roots and features a branching narrative with multiple endings written by Brian Mitsoda (Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines).

Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree will release for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on April 17, 2025. A demo is currently available on PC and Xbox Series X|S, with a PlayStation 4 version releasing next week.

Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly became obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPGs. At that time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as much as gameplay. Now, I am writing about them, especially my favorite ones: the JRPGs!
