Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Adds Hardcore Mode

Deep Silver and Warhorse Studios have added a new Hardcore Mode to open-world medieval action RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. The Hardcore Mode gives players extra challenge by no longer showing Henry’s location permanently on the map, as well as removing its compass and fast travel. It also requires that players select three permanent negative traits, such as being able to carry less weight or sleepwalking causing Henry to wake up in random places. In addition, the companies announced that the “Gallant Huntsman Kit”, previously available as part of the game’s Gold Edition, is now purchasable as DLC.

A sequel to 2018’s Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II picks up directly after the events of the first game, continuing the story of blacksmith’s son Henry in early 15th-century Bohemia. It includes two new open-world maps double the size of the previous game, taking players to historic locations such as Trosky Castle and the mining town of Kuttenberg. The game is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
