Shujinkou Gets February Date
Developer Rice Games announced that its language-learning dungeon-crawling RPG Shujinkou will launch digitally on February 13, 2025. The game will release for PC, Mac, and PlayStation 5, with pre-orders now available on PlayStation 5. The game will be available in three editions:

In addition, pre-orders will receive a selection of in-game items as well as a selection of PlayStation Network avatars. Those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition or Super Deluxe Edition on PlayStation 5 will also receive access to the game a week early on February 6, 2025. Rice Games also revealed that a Nintendo Switch release and physical editions are planned for a later date.
Shujinkou will feature an eighty-plus-hour story campaign split across two major arcs. The game follows Shu, Jin, and Kou as they try to save the world from the Akuma. It sees players tackling sixteen labyrinths using various skills, items, and equipment. Other content allows them to take on quests, cook, fish, participate in minigames, shop, and more. Players can learn hiragana, katakana, and numerous kanji, as well as over a hundred types of grammar corresponding to the JLPT’s (Japanese-Language Proficiency Test) N5 to N3 standards, with the game also including some content up to N1. It also includes an English-only mode. A demo is currently available on PC, Mac, and PlayStation 5.
