Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released in the last week. Achilles: Legends Untold

Action RPG Achilles: Legends Untold begins at the Battle of Troy and Achilles’s death during his fight with Paris. However, Achilles wakes up back in a monster and undead-infested Greece with no memories of how he returned.


Dokapon! Sword of Fury

Board game/RPG hybrid Dokapon! Sword of Fury is a remake of Dokapon! Ikari no Tetsuken, the third game in the series, which released for PlayStation in Japan in 1998. Like other titles in the series, it sees players take on the role of competing adventurers aiming to earn the most money. Players earn money by saving towns from monsters in turn-based battles, entering tournaments, betraying their fellow adventurers, and more.


Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist

2D action RPG Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist is a sequel to 2021’s Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights, set decades after the Rain of Death. Players control Lilac, an Attuner who has the power to purify toxic vapours that have driven humans and Homunculi to madness, threatening to destroy the kingdom. Lilac is able to count on friendly machines and spirits to fight in her stead, while her ability allows her to turn bosses into allies. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

The second part in the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth picks up immediately after the events of Remake and the party’s escape from Midgar. Those looking to read more about Final Fantasy VII Rebirth can check out Paul Shkreli’s very positive review of the game.


Mark of the Deep

Mark of the Deep is billed as combining Metroidvania and Soulslike elements. Players control Marcus “Rookie” Ramsey as he looks for his missing fellow crew members after their pirate ship is wrecked on a mystic island. Dangers include monsters, undead creatures, and cultists, with players able to obtain skills, weapons, and trinkets to aid them in their fight. There are numerous quests leading to multiple endings as players deal with the abyssal corruption around them. PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch versions are planned to follow soon.


Mercenaries Lament: Requiem of the Silver Wolf

The latest entry in Rideon’s Mercenaries series, strategy RPG Mercenaries Lament: Requiem of the Silver Wolf is a standalone title set in a world plagued by an epidemic that causes its victims to rise as zombie-like beings. Mercenaries make a living exterminating them, with the game following Silver Wolf Company leader Johan. Johan encounters a man known as the Grim Reaper and receives a prophecy foretelling an inescapable death in 100 days. Shortly after, he encounters and joins up with a maiden who has the apparent power to cure the plague.


Ravenswatch

Platform: Nintendo Switch (previously released on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S)

Top-down action roguelike Ravenswatch sees players control heroes of tales and legends as they slay hordes of nightmarish creatures. It can be played solo or in co-op with up to four players. The Nintendo Switch version will release alongside the free “Nightmares Unleashed” update, which includes an Improved Keys system, alternate Master Nightmares patterns, new mini-bosses, new activities and map events, and more.


Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection

Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection is a 3D remake of top-down action RPG Sword of the Necromancer. The game follows the journey of Tama, who seeks to bring her dead lover Koko back to life using the forbidden powers of the titular sword. Resurrection features a new battle system with improved combos, the ability to customize the AI of summoned monsters, the power to resurrect enemies and turn them into allies, a roguelite mode, and local co-op.


Worlds of Aria

Platform: Nintendo Switch (previously released on PC)
Publisher: Ishtar Games

Price: $14.99

Worlds of Aria sees players build a four-character party and set out on a dungeon crawling experience reminiscent of classic tabletop adventures. Players can set out solo in single player, or join together with friends in local, online, or cross-platform cooperative multiplayer. Dice-rolling mechanics will determine if player choices help them advance or lead to catastrophe.
