Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.3 Update Launching Next Week

HoYoverse announced that its Version 1.3 update for free-to-play action RPG Zenless Zone Zero will release on November 6, 2024. Titled “Virtual Revenge”, the update sees players joining Section 6 on a special mission as well as celebrating Settlement Days at the Outer Ring.

The update includes two new playable characters: Yanagi and Lighter. Yanagi is the Deputy Chief of Section 6 and is an S-level Electric-Anomaly Agent. She wields a naginata and can increase the team’s Disorder damage. Meanwhile, Lighter is also known as the “Champion” of the Sons of Calydon and is an S-level Fire-Stun Agent. He gains Morale easily and can stuns enemies with his punches while lowering their Ice and Fire Resistances. There will also be new A-level Bangboo devices.

The update also adds two new gameplay modes for players. The Mystery of Arpeggio Fault is a roguelike mode with five chapters with random environments to explore and gain in-game rewards. The Simulated Battle Trial tower allows for players to take on combat challenges against increasingly more powerful foes, which reward new Polychromes and Badges that can be displayed on players’ Personal Homepages.

Zenless Zone Zero is an urban fantasy action RPG set in the post-apocalyptic metropolitan city of New Eridu and is available on PC, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. The city is the only place to have survived a supernatural disaster in which gateways to perilous dimensions called Hollows appear and expand. Players control Proxies, those who guide others exploring the Hollows.
