High School Crisis Dives Into the Demonic Realm Next Week

Publisher CFK is partnering with PISOFT to release dungeon-crawling RPG High School Crisis. The title will launch on PC (via Steam) on November 6, 2024, with a Nintendo Switch version planned to release at a later date. The game will have English, Japanese, and Korean language options.

High School Crisis follows a group of high school students whose school has been transported into a demon realm following an earthquake. They must find a way to return to their world through their school after it is turned into a maze infested by hostile creatures. Players initiate battles by making contact with icons that represent enemies on the map. Players can manipulate their party members’ resistances, with stronger resistances blocking enemies’ attacks that see their turn skipped. The title features a bonding system, where characters with stronger bonds may gain new skills and become more prone to follow the player’s instructions.

Fascinated by the screens since I saw them, video games are a sorcery I quickly became obsessed with. This passion culminated with the discovery of the RPGs. At that time, they were likely the sole titles where story and world building mattered as much as gameplay. Now, I am writing about them, especially my favorite ones: the JRPGs!
