Edens Zero Action RPG Set for Next Year

Konami revealed details for its upcoming Edens Zero action RPG, based on the popular manga by Hiro Mashima (also the creator of Fairy Tail). The game, originally revealed in 2020, is currently planned to release in 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with its official website now live.

Edens Zero is a space fantasy series that begins on the theme-park planet Granbell in the Sakura Cosmos. It follows human boy Shiki, who lives alongside the planet’s robots and is taught how to use superhuman Ether Gear powers. His adventure into the cosmos begins after encountering content creators Rebecca Bluegarden and Happy.

The Edens Zero action RPG will feature a retelling on the manga’s story alongside new and expanded content and quests. Combat sees players controlling a variety of characters including Shiki, Rebecca, Weisz, and Homura, using combos, Ether Gear, and special abilities to defeat their foes. Players are able to upgrade equipment and Ether Gear as well as customise character appearances. The game will also include a fully explorable version of Blue Garden, the planet of adventurers, as well as let players spend time aboard the Edens Zero spaceship where they can bond with other characters, use facilities, and participate in mini-games.
