Persona 5: The Phantom X Japanese Release Announced

Atlus announced a Japanese release for free-to-play title Persona 5: The Phantom X. The game — which was released in China, Taiwan, and South Korea in April 2024 — will launch for PC, iOS, and Android in Japan, though a release date was not announced. Applications for a closed beta test are open until October 6, 2024.

Persona 5: The Phantom X is developed by Black Wings Game Studio and was released in other regions by Perfect World. Like Persona 5, the game is set in modern-day Tokyo and features dungeon-crawling and social sim elements, though it features a different cast led by the silent protagonist, codenamed Wonder. Other elements have been adapted to account for its free-to-play nature, such as the calendar system replaced with an energy mechanic.
