Book of Hours Expands with House of Light

Developer Weather Factory has released a new expansion for its librarian-themed RPG Book of Hours. The House of Light expansion is available for PC, Mac, and Linux through Steam and GOG for $14.99/£12.99/€13.99, with a 10% launch discount. There is also an Anthology Edition that includes the game, the expansion, and a digital soundtrack.

House of Light takes place in 1937. As the world appears to spiral into war, the notables of the occult underworld consider new weapons and paths and turn to the player character for help. Players are able to host influential dinner parties, choosing a location, sending out invitations, and providing the food. They can influence the wider world with new in-depth Visitor stories while deciding who should be among the founders of the Lighthouse Institute and set its course.

Created by the team behind Cultist Simulator, Book of Hours is set in a version of the 1930s filled with hidden gods and secret histories and originally released in August 2023. Players control a new recruit brought in to fill the position of the Librarian of Hush House, which was a fortress of knowledge until a fire ruined its collection. Becoming the new Librarian, players are tasked with rebuilding the library by acquiring, restoring, and cataloguing occult books, scrolls, and curiosities, as well as guiding visitors and their stories down various paths.
